I remember hearing and seeing women who were moms making an extra income from their home and I wanted it so badly to be one of those moms. But I didn’t know where to start and how the home business space was. I was a stay-at-home mom to four kids and felt like I needed more and wanted to do more outside of my children. I felt like I was losing my identity as a stay-at-home mom for eleven years.

I wanted to go back to work or school but having four kids, and standard of living increasing and one income home, made my head rumble. I didn’t want to leave home and didn’t want the option to leave my kids in a daycare. It would be more expensive, and my paycheck would all go towards that. That would not solve my problem. I will not have extra money to save as day cares are expensive and I will be back to square one.

I made it my mission to find something to do online that would fit around my daily routine with my children and family. I thought about blogging but didn’t know how fast that would generate an income for me. YouTube was another option, but you need to put in a lot of work to get monetized and at how much for a beginner? All this mattered to me as I was looking for something that could generate an income. I also wanted something legitimate (NOT QUICK CASH OR PYRAMID SCHEME)

I was then introduced to a company by a friend who had already started doing business with them. I did my research (VERY IMPORTANT) and discovered that they had certain values that suit an environment or company I would love to work for.

 

1. A company with leaders that lived up to their mission and the opportunity they were presenting.

2. A company with a culture to promote unity and community.

3. A company with global opportunities so I could connect with different people around the worldfrom the comfort of my home.

4. A company that encourages you to build wealth and health at the same time.

5. A compensation plan that pays every two weeks and direct deposit and gives that ‘extra coin’ for recreational activities for kids, spa, pay debt, and much more.

6. A company with a growing and informative curve in the industry with marketing and a NewSocial retail model.

7. A company where I didn’t need to build a team or stock products every month before making a commission. This was very important to me because as a stay at home mom with little or no income, this could hinder my ability to grow and achieve my goals.
